Properties:Blue transparent crystals. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in dilute ethanol but insoluble in anhydrous ethanol. Chemically stable at room temperature, easily soluble in water (16.2% solubility in water at 15°C). Its aqueous solution is blue and acidic. When exposed to air for a long time, it gradually loses crystalline water and turns white.
